| City of Rochester Open Meet 2006 |
The club sent a squad of 25 swimmers to the City of Rochester Open Meet held at the Black Lion Pool in Gillingham and again came away with a bag full of medals and a total of 43 personal bests times.
Undoubted star of the meeting for Canterbury was the youngest swimmer in the squad, Erin Walsh . Erin, who is not ten until July, won all four gold medals in the 10yr and under age group. She set huge personal bests in all four strokes including knocking over 3 seconds of her time for the 50m fly. This was an amazing swim given all the finals were in one session, barely 5 minutes between events and the fly was the last race. These efforts producing a 100% record earned Erin the ‘Best Girl at the Meet' Trophy.
