Beckenham Open Meet 7th & 8th May 2005

City of Canterbury swimmers travelled to the Beckenham Open Meet at Crystal Palace National Sports Stadium on 7th & 8th May. For results click here...

Holly Campbell once again shone in the 12 & under category, winning gold medals in 100m & 200m Breaststroke, 100m & 200m Backstroke, 200m Individual Medley and silver in the 200m Freestyle.Holly also won the Top Girl Trophy.

In the 13/14 years age group Louise Smith earned herself a place at the National Championships to be held in Sheffield in July. Louise qualified in the 100m Freestyle, she also won a bronze in the 100m Breaststroke.

In the boys 13/14 years age group, Karl Botha continued with his good form winning gold medals in 200m & 100m Butterfly and silver medal in 200m Backstroke.

Ten year old Louis Moore had a great swim to win silver in the 50m Breaststroke. 12 year old Ben Watson won silver medals in 200m Individual Medley and 200m Backstroke and bronze medals for 200m Freestyle and 100m Backstroke. 14 year old Lauren Wraight won silver medals in 13/14 year old Butterfly, 200m Individual Medley, Womens Open 100m Butterfly and bronze in 100m Freestyle.
